Donations

We greatly appreciate donations. Without them we are not able to provide programs for Cystic Fibrosis, heart disease, depression, and many others. Our rescue shelter is run 100% from donations. If you would like to donate, please send a check to our facilities. We are also in need of any animal food and supplies. Thank you.

Current Issues

A key issue facing shelters throughout the world is the controversy in becoming deemed No Kill. Each year Nathan Winograd hosts a No Kill conference that I had the privilege of attending this year.  The conference brought together activists from all parts of the country and a few activists from abroad. As quoted by the Center for Disease Control, there is no scientific evidence for the need to kill in shelters. Overpopulation is a myth, No Kill methods are more economically viable, and safer communities arise from No Kill shelters. We are currently working on a study that proves all of the above stated.

Research

Picture
People have an innate fear and fascination toward snakes. The snake is used as a symbol for medicine and, like any other animal, will only attack when threatened. Due to the lack of knowledge regarding rattlesnakes, they have suffered pronounced population decline through both human destruction of habitat and direct persecution. Research by O'Neal Foundation's founder, Kathryn O'Neal, is currently being done to establish any relevant patterns that will help to discern risks posed to people.
